Kuznetsova, Zvonareva, Petrova--how much longer? Perhaps we've underestimated the pressure that rests on the shoulders of Pavlyuchenkova.
In the meantime, at least we have the two Marias and the always-delightful Vesnina. I hope Maria K. can ease back into her former spot on the tour. She was out for a long time.
Yeah, as I noted, look at the long absence of great success by Germans after Graf, Spaniards after ASV/Martinez and, for that matter, the Americans that came after Serena and Venus. Just because one generation is super successful it unfortunately doesn't mean that the talent pipeline will continue to produce the same results.
Do wonder what will happen with China, though. If the commitment is there...
